Enchanted Fairy Gardens - HELP :)

I'm asking a favor of all of you, HELP ME :)

So, I'm working at the Utah Botanical Center in Kaysville this summer and amongst my duties one of them is coordinating and carrying out some summer camps. Which really is a lot of fun but I feel like ever since my fall Finals week this last year my creative juices have definitely been on a low!!! So, if you would be so kind to help me out on this one.

One of the camps that I am planning is called "Enchanted Garden Fairies" and I couldn't be more excited to plan it, there will be a tea party, fairy wand making, "magical" flower planting, etc. Its really coming together. But I had this idea that I basically got from when I stayed at Brighton Girls Camp. They do a hike with some of the girls that is called a "Brownie Hike" And they take them through "Brownie Land" There is little landmarks along the trail that they have fiary legends and stories for such as little trickling water "showers" for the Brownies. It is basically a fairyland that is made of all natural things throughout the hiking trail and is pretty neat.

Well between the Brownie Hike and lots and lots of researching of other people who have created these "Garden Fairylands" I have come up with just a smidgen of a beginning!! What I am asking of you at this point is

1) Look at the following pictures of what I have already spent this afternoon creating-give me your honest feedback.

2) Get those creative juices flowing and give me some more ideas of little things I might be able to create -EASILY AND FAST - to add to this little village.

3) Think "Mr. Rogers" and help me come up with a little Legend or Story I can tell to the kids before we go out on this adventure to find the "Fairyland" or whatever we end up calling it.

Let me give you what I've brainstormed up and what I have to work with:

We could tell them this great story that sparks their interest and gives them a background on these garden fairies. Like a legend of the fairies at the Botanical Gardens aand their stories.

Then we could start off by giving them a miniature cupcake or a sip of 7Up or something and call it the magic treat to being able to see fairyland for a short amount of time. We head out on finding this fairyland. Now keep this in mind - [we will be at the Utah Botanical Center, so I have ponds, trails, bridges, a beautiful setting where this could really turn out fun for the kids!]

I wanted to use this time to let the kids be creative and adventurous so I was thinking something along the lines of "The storms lately have destroyed most of the fairy houses so we're going to help them out by building them some new ones" And let the kids gather cattail reeds, sticks, rocks, leaves etc. And be creative building their own miniature house in the fairyland for a fairy out of things by the pond.

Be honest, critical, and creative!!! AND shoot back as many suggestions as you can to me on the ASAP :) Whether its on here, facebook, text me, whatever just help me out cause I've hit a dead end! Thanks soooo much :)

P.S. All of the pictures are just set up in my yard, not in the setting they'll be used in! It should look much cooler at the ponds.

Song Recommendation: Love, Me by Collin Raye
Food Craving: Sour Cream and Onion Pringles and Mint Lifesavers and Lemon Water. Mmhmm.
New found Love: Carmel Frozen Yogurt. My mom found this Carmel vanilla Frozen Yogurt, super creamy and tastes just like ice cream but with my [lactose intolerance.. :/] its PERFECT:)
annnnnd another love i've recently found is my [new] phone! the GalaxyS by Samsung is a great phone, loving it so far.

So I've got friends doing all of these exciting things this summer, my old roommates are living in Sweden, some friends are getting married, some friends are living in different States working, and I was feeling all bummed because.. well I'm staying in the country this summer (or so I thought) and my mish doesn't get back till March so it looks like I won't be getting married (this year hehe) and I want to live with my Mommy so I'm not moving out of state to work. But then I put things in the Lord's hands and Whala! Perfect Summer handed to me on a silver platter:
Get to live with my family which equals a number of very good things - time spent with the fam, rent free, free food, own room and bathroom, living by old friends (which I have yet to take advantage of), etc.
I got a Full-Time 9-5 M-F job at Utah Botanical Center which is a paid internship that counts for my major and i get $5000 for the whole summer, which, ahem, is damn good money for a college student in the Summer.
I actually do get to leave the country for the Summer, I'm going to Costa Rica in August with my cousins and uncle to do humanitarian work and experience the culture down there for a week! And I am just very excited:)
While my mish is gone, and I miss him dearly, I feel like our relationship has still been developing and maturing over the past 14 months, we email weekly and get letters every couple months and I talked to him last week for mothers day and it.. was.. FABULOUS <3 <3 <3
Well that basically suming this up: Put your life in the Lord's hands and he'll always give back way more than you had planned for yourself! :)

everyday i'm shufflin.

So today I am sick :( I had to wake up and take my Math 1050 Final at 7:30 -- Why do they do that to us? Hmm... Lets put the Math Final at the earliest time slot available, that way we'll maintain our "Most-Failed Class" list headed by Math 1050... don't fret I'm already registered to take it again next Fall. Bleck.

SO I slept a solid 9 hours just today... this is not counting the 4 hour nap I took yesterday before rocking out my 7 hours of sleep last night. Lets just say that when I get sick... it knocks me flat on my ass for weeks on end-- it's a great way of life.. Ha.

So just like expressed yesterday I have a lot of reminiscing going on in my mind about this past year of college. Ha, I just realized I've started every paragraph with "So" so far.. Is that how I talk? "SO umm I was totally talking to this girl the other day..." "So I was like..." Hahaha now I totally feel like a valley girl. Bleck again.

ANYWAYS, as I was saying about this past year. It was fun but seriously this Logan weather got me DOWN in capital letters. There were days I would go hours without even getting to talk to somebody and well now.. I just sound like a loser.. but really one thing I think got me through that icky weather was music. Yes, I am one of those sillys who believe music can be therapy and can totally change your mood from night to day.

So, (there it is again), I have decided to bless you with MY list of "Songs that can get you through shitty weather, school, and anything else life decides to throw at you."
1. Hymns and church music are at the top here. God can answer prayers and heal hearts through songs.
2. Nine in the Afternoon by Panic at the Disco -- the rest of these are in no particular order.
3. Yeah! by Usher. Its nostalgic and the lyrics are so easy you can't get down on yourself for not knowing them ;)
4. Bad Day by Daniel Powter. Sometimes its just good to hear it coming from someone else that your day just plain sucked.
5. Getting Over You by David Guetta (feat. Fergie & LMFAO) I love David G and lmfao. nuffsaid.
6. Now You're Gone by Basshunter. Whether your into House music or not, you can't help but want to bust out to this song! No question.
7. MGMT makes some g-reat music, they throw some "choice words" in there on occasion but next to Passion Pit they are most def the most played artist on my Ipod. What songs? Time to Pretend, Kids, Electric Feel, and their song with Kid Cudi and Ratatat called Pursuit of Happiness. Bueno!!
8. This brings me to the previously mentioned Passion Pit. And I truly love every one of their songs.
9. I feel a bit like I'm rambling so I will finish this thing off by briefly mentioning the rest of my all time favorite songs.
-Anything by Rascal Flatts
-We the Kings, any of their songs.
-We no Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool
-Your Love by Nicki Minaj
- NeverShoutNever!
- Kate Nash
- Dog Days are Over by Florence & the Machines
-Blow Away by A Fine Frenzy
-Ghosts N Stuff by Deadmau5
-Party Rock Anthem (Everyday I'm Shuffling) by LMFAO ..ofcourse.
-There are plenty more but that should keep you plenty preoccupied for now:)

I'm a SLACCCKER. nuffsaid.

Wowy, It's been a verrry long time since I've blogged, and while I keep saying I am going to improve I refuse to make yet another broken promise about finding enough time to blog. But if I happen to blog maybe a little more often don't be surprised ;) how's that? As for the 30 day Blog Challenge.. I only made it half way through and I have a habit of leaving projects incomplete.. which in this situation may be the case.

Well today marks the first day of the last week as a College Freshman for myself. I'd like to take a moment to thank, well, myself and give myself a pat on the back because, well, I deserve it! I feel like I have done exceptionally well academically and had a hell of a time with all of the amazing people I've met this year! Now that I am done [tooting my own horn] I guess I can continue by ranting about other meaningless information.

Song Recommendation: I'm Movin On by Rascal Flatts
Food Craving: Chocolate Orange and a Diet Coke.... lime.
New found love: Bath and Body Work's: Aromatherapy Headache Relief, Peppermint Oil.
I tried this last night, my roommate Jess has it and let me use some for my headache. Results=Bien! I fell asleep and was headache free:) Recommended. [I think it's kinda pricey tho... ~$12 for a roll-on .3 fl oz bottle. BUT works.

So, BASICALLY I have a theory: Boys are _______. Basically any degrading adjective you choose may be used in this blank; i.e. dumb, mean, stupid, selfish, immature, etc.

I have one exception: Andy Doney. He's my missionary that I would easily do anything for. So Andy left over a year ago [11 months to go, yahoo!!] And I decided that while he was gone I would still go on dates with other boys without all of the relationship and what I thought would be "Drama-Free Dating" hahahahahaha Boy, was that a joke?

So me and Andy are still doing excellent, thanks for asking :) And I have seriously come to the conclusion that all other boys are ______. Like tonight for example- a nice, returned missionary asks me if I want to do something. So we don't make "plans" but we decide we'll get together about 8 and figure out what we want to do from there... These are not my favorite ways of going about hanging out with boys, mind you. I think they should call, ask you on a LEGIT date, and pick you up for a planned-out, paid for, fun night with the group... but I guess we can't all get what we want. So I get a text from this guy at 7:58 "Hey runnin late... tomorrow?"
HAHAHAHA oh buddy, do you know who I am?? I am BRITTANI NAEGLE. tomorrow? Psh. How about never??? As you might've guessed, that dude didn't get a reply from this girl. Why? Because he's _______.

The most frustrating thing for me is to watch my friends get treated like this by guys especially when they don't stand up for themselves. I just decided after writing this sentence that getting myself into this tangent is a bad idea, this blog may turn into a NOVEL and, well, I have a math final at 7:30 in the morning that I probably should keep my mind focused on.

Today we have learned some valuable things: Rascal Flatts is amazing and has a song for every stage of a love. Chocolate Oranges should be manufactured year-round. Bath and Body Works basically made rub-on Tylenol for headaches that is excellent. And most boys are ______. And if they are, move on.
